Handmade Vintage Marionette Elephant string Puppet Folk Art from India(? Possibly). Very rustic and decorative hand-crafted and hand painted wooden puppet on a string. Has a creamy white overall color with red and black accents. A rare original puppet held together with numerous small metal nail-like pegs and although fragile actually very well made considering the number of moving wooden parts. My Grandmother owned it for 20+ years and adored the Folk Art look of the elephant. I have personally owned it for almost 10 yrs.
